The reason is that it's not natural and it's not even healthy to restrict food.  It doesn't work for so many reasons. And for me, one of the biggest reasons why is because I like my freedom to decide each and every day what I want and don't want.  

 

Healthy should never be repressed or stressful and it should never feel like failure. 

There is a reason that every "diet" you have ever tried... hasn't worked.

​That same free-natured spirit inside of me ultimately led to my success over my own bad eating habits. 

I've learned that if you want to be successful, you have to give yourself the freedom to choose, but you have to choose to recommit to yourself every day. That could mean progression or forgiving yourself for being human.

 

For me and many others that I have coached, the key to overcoming health and weight issues lies in learning to celebrate the small things, choosing self-care every day, and overcoming subconscious patterns by consciously interrupting them. 

 

Self-care is not selfish.  It's your responsibility to monitor and maintain a healthy mind-body, not anyone else's.  Besides, The more you practice self-care and self-love, the better you become for everyone else around you.

 

If you aim to be your best self as much as possible, you'll have plenty of ammunition for the changes YOU want to see. 

No doubt you are ready to find a simple and sustainable way to get healthy and lose weight that actually works...

I'm sorry to say... but no fad diets or "quick fixes" are going to help you long-term. 

  

I am sure you've tried eating healthy, restricting food, fad diets, and exercising. 

 

Who here has hopped aboard the keto train? Low carb, low fat, low... high... blah blah blah. Low and high mean unbalanced!

 

If you've attempted to face your health and weight problems without much success (or only short-term success), it has likely left you feeling discouraged and frustrated – maybe you even feel guilty or like it's your fault.

The problem with those "quick fix" diets is that they may only provide short-term results.  Not only that, but they can throw your system off and cause other health issues.  The reality is, they set you up for long-term failure... which isn't your fault.

I’m Amanda and I help people who struggle to gain control over their health, body, and mindset so they can start to feel and look good again.

 

I started struggling with my health long before anyone should ever have to.

 

I was only 16 when I was diagnosed with my first autoimmune disease, which resulted in restricted dieting. 

 

My restrictive eating slowly morphed into eating disordered behaviors and thought patterns. Much of my disordered eating arose because of my failing health, but that made it no less of an issue for me to overcome.  I've been on both ends of the spectrum; obese and anorexic and still have to choose myself every day... today.

 

Disordered eating and weight are only one part of my health horror story.

For most of my life, I've struggled with illness, weight issues, autoimmune, fatigue, brain fog, chronic pain, anxiety, depression, hormone issues, food allergies, environmental allergies, GI issues, chronic inflammation, food sensitivities, thyroid issues, blood pressure problems, and microbiome issues. 

 

I've had my fair share of restrictive dieting, moments of giving up, and clueless medical professionals, but in doing so figure out what works... and most definitely what does not.  I've had the pleasure of sharing what I know with people just like you and watching them transform their lives.  I can tell you now that it's all about listening to your body and in return providing it with what it's asking for.  If you want to get along with it...  learn to listen to it.
