A Difficult Journey Indicates A Significant Destination.

I started struggling with my health long before anyone should ever have to.

I was only 16 when I was diagnosed with my first autoimmune disease...

.

For much of my life, I've struggled with illness, weight issues, fatigue, brain fog, chronic pain, anxiety, depression, hormone issues, food allergies, environmental allergies, GI issues, heart palpitations, chronic inflammation, food sensitivities, thyroid issues, blood pressure problems, and microbiome issues.

Through my trials and tribulations, and my background in nutrition, herbalism, and mind-body performance, I've recognized that most health issues, whether it be illness, metabolic, or any other problem, typically boil down to a few simple lifestyle changes for most people.

I can tell you now that the key to good health, is listening to your body and in return providing it with what it's asking for. And for me, it's in using the natural world around me to heal and nurture myself.

I believe that I will always be autoimmune and have weaker moments, but those moments are few when I adhere to a clean and natural lifestyle.  I thrive in my illness rather than survive my illness.

I've developed a solid understanding of the wholeness of our bodies and our world.  I literally feel like I figured out how to cheat death and I don't take that lightly.

While many that find their way here may be looking for either natural living OR health advice, to me it all goes hand in hand.  For me, it is that comprehension of wholeness in nature and in one's self that encompasses all that I do and offer.  However, I am a coach first and foremost and I meet people where they are.  My job is to provide you with the support YOU are looking for.  To learn more about the services I offer go here.

The early days in my quest for natural healing were spent reading books and looking up articles on the—then very limited—internet.   There was a whole lot of trial and error involved.

I did reasonably well by myself, but after about 20 years, I decided to take my evolving passion for nutrition and herbs to the next level. I wanted to know how to thrive rather than manage and I wanted to share this seemingly hidden knowledge with others.

I decided to pursue an education in Holistic Nutrition and Herbalism and help other people heal as I have done.

I attended the Body-Mind Insitute under the Holistic Nutrition Practitioner program. And I am currently a certified Holistic Nutrition and Herbal coach as well as a natural wellness writer.

I consider my health problems a path. It took countless trials and tribulations to bring me to where I am, but "where I am" is healthy and happy. In doing so, I have the honor to be of service to others.

I've fallen in love with the natural world and take my passion for plants and natural living very seriously.  It fascinates and consumes me.  I'm living my best life when I am foraging, writing, making a new tincture, or essential oil perfume.

If nature trips your trigger too then you will enjoy learning about the tips and tricks I have picked up over the years.
